The campaign map is designed to work alongside One King! the wargamers companion to 1685. Starting on 22 May 1685 the earl of Argyll must secure a safe base and recruit an army. Then, once news of the English invasion by the Duke of Monmouth arrives in Scotland, he is to launch an attack on Glasgow (or is it Stirling).
The Government Army under the earl of Dumbarton must hold Inveraray, Stirling, and Glasgow for King James VII of Scotland. If Argyll wins the Whigs are a step closer to crowning the Duke of Monmouth as the true King James VII. Which King are you going to fight for?
